The true measure of any new or established business system implementation is not measured by how many software modules have been implemented, but what happens to the operating performance in the business. Therefore, management must take an active role in identifying problem performance areas and develop action plans to improve or reduce the variation identified in the processes. Management’s job is to guide people, resources, and the organization in achieving objectives.
